BioShock Infinite Wins Big At Game Critics Awards! by Aster Brittan
Best of show, best original game, best PC game, and best action adventure game.
But hold on…
Some die hard gamers out there consider the E3 awards to be a flipping joke. Don’t you believe it. 95% of the games that pass through E3 with or without a win have gone on to be fan favorites in the gaming world and that’s a pretty sick statistic if you ask me.
So to all you armchair critics out there that consider yourselves Experts…Remember this………
An ex is a has been and a spurt (spert) is a drip under pressure)! So as far as I’m concerned you drips out there can KMA! Forgive me but I just had to say something about the idiots that sit on the outside of our gaming world (mainly because they suck at games) and spew about things they don’t understand.
Two player games and online hidden object games are my favorites. My kids love the cartoon network games and bmx games online. It is all about your preference there is something for everyone in the realm of online games for kids.
Now on to business! – The votes are in for the game critics awards best of E3 2011 honors, and BioShock Infinite has won big. Irrational games’ Agoraphobic-terrifying action adventure took home an award for every category it was nominated in, including best of show, best original, best PC, and best action adventure.
The 2K Games title’s haul bested that of fellow big nominee uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception, which was shut out completely. Coming in at two wins each were Battlefield 3 (best action, best online multiplayer), Sound Shapes (best handheld, best social casual), and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (best console game, best role-playing game).
More than half-dozen games grabbed one trophy a pop. Bastion earned best downloadable game, while FIFA Soccer 12 scored best sports. The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword whirled its way to the best motion simulation game title as Forza Motorsport 4 took a victory lap for best online racing games. Street Fighter X Tekken pounded the best fighting category, while the PlayStation Vita won in the best hardware category. From Dust came in first amongst the best strategy game nominees.
The Game Critics Awards Best of E3 2011 nominees are determined by a panel of judges from 35 different publications. These include GameSpot, the Associated Press, Game Informer, the Hollywood Reporter, Joystiq, and USA Today. A full list of the winners and nominees lined up below.
